  • Upcoming Updates for Fiesta: Estate System & Secret Unique Update!

Posted on January 25th, 2010 Ian No comments

Outspark [GM] Silkypico had posted an announcement about introducing the “Estate System” which is the upgraded mini-home. It allows players to decorate, walk around, and socialize with up to 7 other players. Fiesta players can buy warps for their home so that it’s a lot easier to travel to a specific area.

    - Furniture will be useable (Chairs, benches, etc.)

    - Holds up to 7 players

    - The housing feature is free, but a special quest needs to be completed to use the feature

    - Furniture/Deco will deteriorate over time, and players can buy repair kits. Furniture bought from the Outspark Store will use premium repair kits.

The secret unique update will later be announced, and will be coming before the housing update. In order for the housing update to become available this February, Silkypico has set a target goal for Fiesta Fans on Facebook: 10,000. To see the status of the fan count, I’ve programmed a fan count tracker image, which is used in my sig.

  • Quick Update on my Server Status

Posted on July 29th, 2009 Ian 1 comment

I recently spent a few hours until 3am this morning and adjusted my server status image again to transform it into a bar again and also made it a whole lot more accurate by checking the ability to log in rather than just seeing if the login is online. This was added since the servers come online during maintenance, but users aren’t able to log in until maintenance is over.

This is the barred version of the server status signature image ver. 3(.5 after login update).

I recently added Cypion to the server status list as well as made a new sig. My next mini-project will be to make individual status bars for anyone to use.

The new Cypion Server opened just moments ago and it is quite crowded! The server is full of new players reserving names and also competing at the “Race to 105″ event where the first adventurers to reach 105 will receive 1,000,000 sparkcash (Approx. value: 1428.57 USD)! Fiesta’s new content update is looking awesome! Unfortunately at the time of this post, I am on Windows 7 which is currently incompatible with Xtrap and Outspark’s games. I will be reformating by this weekend to get back in the game! :)

Project Powder has also released a new update with an extra character and a few edits. Hit the more button for details on Fiesta and Project Powder’s content updates.

  • New Theme, New Version, I’m back. :D

Posted on March 1st, 2009 Ian 6 comments

I have a lot of things to say since I last posted, so here goes:

    • I found this Vista-esque theme on the Wordpress main site and I LOVE IT. It even has an awesome functioning Start bar!
    • As for the site, I’ve returned to using a blog since I have bought a new domain for my friends to use on our “project.”
    • I also have been working on this site for the past week- http://www.gamer-universe.net/web101 It’s due Tuesday and I still have a ton of content to put on. I also have to find out what I’m going to use to fulfill my Flash requirement. It’s a site devoted to helping new players interested in Outspark’s Fiesta
    • I would also like to congratulate Celtic_Princess on joining the CL Team at Outspark. She’s going to be a huge help for us!
    • I have nearly completed my Server Status and Player Stats apps for use on the Outspark Forums

The June 9th patch is scheduled to be released tonight (No official time posted), which should be within the next 12 hours. Pictures are property of Outspark.com.

Hopefully I will be awake during the patching process so I can debug my server status scripts.

  • Fiesta Server status update

Since the Fiesta servers have gone down about 1 hour and 25 minutes ago, I have been since designing my first server status BG, so here it is so far!

Edit- Today, June 3rd, I’ve just finished my new sig. It might not be 100% accurate at this moment, but it’s pretty darn close!

  • Fiesta Magazine Issue #2 is Out!

Posted on May 24th, 2008 Ian No comments

The 2nd Issue of Volume 1 of Fiesta Magazine is finally out! FatalLace and her team have put together this second issue with the main article: “Assault On the Moonlight Tomb: The Tools You’ll Need to Survive the Madness.”

The Moonlight Tomb, MT for short, is a haunting evil-themed zone where players are recommended to be level 27 to enter. Although it is suggested that players should be 27, they may enter at levels as low as 25, but they will have a very difficult time there if they don’t have a higher level player to help them. I myself am a level 27 cleric (IanH if you want to find me in Teva), and I have just started soloing there. The reason level 27+ is suggested is because of the fact that mobs spawn very close to eachother at a quick rate, and will aggro you often. I can take on about 3 or 4 mobs at a time, but it takes a long time and a lot of healing and power+shield+mag. def.+vitality scrolls help a LOT.

The next parts of the magazine consist of a very humerous interview with the Bored Family, the interviews of the Fiesta Player of the Month, and the upcoming releases from Outspark. Fiesta Magazine shows off a new dungeon called Tomb of Helga, a nasty looking warlord. Other map releases consist of Abysmal Cave (level 20-29), Relic of the Abyss (70-79), and Dark Passage I & II. There is also a small section showing off Community Leader Centrix’s new machinima titled Revenge & Salvation II, coming soon.

Page 6 has an interesting fiction piece titled “Feista Magazine Investigates: Guards on the Take.” It looks to me like there will be more “Fiesta Magazine Investigates” articles in newer issues, which should be really cool. It is about the lack of protection and possible corruption of the guards in the world of Teva.

There are more interviews with players on each Fiesta server on page 7, advertisements, a community page and Fiesta fansite news on page 8, as well as some awesome looking mock trading cards that are based on stories in the issues of Fiesta Magazine on page 9.

This issue definitely beats the first, and the volume will probably get even better as new issues come out. I can’t wait for the next one!

For all you readers out there, the file size is 14.4MB in size, and you can click on the image to download the PDF.

  • Fiesta Magazine Issue #1 is out NOW!!!

Posted on May 7th, 2008 Ian No comments

On the 5th of May (Happy Cinco de Mayo!), Outspark announced a new fanmade piece called Fiesta Magazine made by FatalLace. The cover of it looks very clean and one can tell this isn’t made with haste. Inside you will find 8 pages of wonderfully composed articles, interviews, and advertisements.

There is even an entire page dedicated to an interview with the “Fiesta Player of the Month!” The interview consists of a few questions from the Outspark Staff, and a few questions from Fiesta Magazine.

The last page of the magazine shows us what’s new with Fiesta’s store. Readers can see a list of new items as of last month, as well as a description on what it does and it’s shop image.

I would really like to say, great job, FatalLace! Overall, I’d give this new magazine a 4.5/5. There are only 8 pages (though that is a lot for 1 person to do), and I feel it would be cool to have an “Ask FatalLace” page, which is pretty much where one would send in an email with a question, and if they got lucky, would get a response posted in the magazine itself.

For you Fiesta players out there, I encourage you to read this magazine! I definitely couldn’t have done it better myself! (File size: Approx. 9.8MB, PDF Format)
